Spooky Halloween Party Decor – Gothic

Journey To The Edge Of The World

Looking for ways to spice up your Halloween party decor? Tired of dragging out the same old witches and animated goblins? Why not try decorating your space in a Gothic theme this year? The Gothic look is understated and yet has a certain elegance to it. I think it’s the perfect look for a Halloween Dinner Party. The Gothic look would be lots of symbolism such as black ravens, black clothing, dead flowers etc. to suggest an absence of life or living. Avoid the jack-o-lanterns and cutesy “Hallmark” type of decorations in favor of a few pieces strategically placed. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

  • Black sheets  for covering furniture or other distracting areas (thrift stores are great for this)
  • Old candelabras with half melted candles (spray paint black for the best effect)
  • Vase of dead flowers on the table
  • Black ravens perched on hung artwork or mirrors

These are just a few ideas to get you started.

The other important thing to think about is your costume. You can visit our online costume store to get your Ladybug Costume or see thousands of other options. Happy Haunting!
